The exterior is smooth with no little bumps. The interior is black, stain resistant. This is a plus considering that traditional cast irons requires constant seasoning and will rust if not dried immediately. A word of caution, the pot is rated for 500F, but some models have a plastic knob that is only good for up to 375F. The large handle is attached by screws which will require a little care in cleaning. The little bumps on the underside of the lid aid in returning moisture back to the food being cooked, sort of a self basting feature. The pan handles are nice and big allow easy access for someone wearing oven mitts.

This is a countertop pizza maker that is small enough to store in your pantry, but big enough to cook a personal pizza. The average cook time is about seven minutes. The recipe in the booklet called for 00 flour, which may be found in most gourmet stores. The recipe will make 4-6 pizzas per batch.  It comes with a pizza stone that accounts for much of the 14 pound weight. You only get 1 3/4″ of space to work with so you will need to stick with a thin crust. Also you should keep the toppings simple to ensure even cooking. The stone has already darkened and the lid with the element is hard to clean. It does not come apart so some effort is required. To fit the stone you must limit the pizza’s to 9 1/2″, but that turned out to be a perfect size for a personal pizza.

The handles are called “Sure Grip” for a reason, they are designed to be handled without needing oven mitts or the kitchen towel. Very wide and ergonomic they extend further than most other brands making it easier to work with. The lids are tempered glass which will allow you to cook without have to peek under the lid. The Tri-Ply design will cook your food evenly without hot spots and is compatible with all cook top types. They are rated at up to 400F so they are versatile. You may find some of the sizes small for what you are used to, but the rest are great.

This is a 6 quart crock pot with the standard removable pot and glass lid. What makes this one stand out it the WeMo app that you can download and use with your phone anywhere. Naturally you can operate it from the front, but the ability to change the settings from anywhere means you can adjust to those times when things just don’t go right. Go from cooking to warm modes means the difference between overdone and just right. With three heat settings, you can get the desired results when you want it. The pot cleans up nicely when it is cool.
